About Jim
  • Education: B.S. Pastoral Ministry - Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School
  • Experience: Teaching elder of a church start up in PA and pulpit supply in New England. Presently serving my employer and his employees while being a Commercial Sales Pro.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Good luck finding my sermons in print!
  • Family: Husband of Deb (18 years), father of Katie (15) and Spencer (8) and son of the Most High for 8 years (Same age as my son!!).
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Never heard me preach.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Wonders if I will walk the talk.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Pray, pray, pray, study, study, study, be transparent and never forget we are to point others to Jesus and the Great News that He is king and He is in charge..
  • Books that have had an impact: Scripture! Also Knowing God (Packer), What Jesus Demands of the World (Piper), anything from NT Wright, American Jesus (Balmer), Calvin’s Institutes, Art of War (Sun Tzu), Unchristian (Kinnaman & Lyons), among many others.
  • Hobbies: Reading, hiking, playing board games with the family.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus is King over all, He wants you with Him and here is how you can be....
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Tripped up the stairs on the way to the pulpit during my first practicum sermon.
  • What I want on my tombstone: There will be 3 things I will was surpised by when I got to Heaven, who is here, who isn’t here and the fact that I was welcomed in. (original thought from Harold Hoener
