About Jay
  • Education: Ozark Christian College
  • Experience: I have experience in youth and preaching ministry. I enjoy both -- currently I am preaching minister at Christ View Christian Church and I enjoy it.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Reply. I study hard on the sermons to make sure they are everything God has given me. I use the internet alot for illustrations and do my word studies the old fashion way -- with a stack of books. I would love to hear feedback.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: The Revelation sermon where we handed out roses, that was really neat.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: 50 bucks is fifty bucks
  • Family: I have been married 12 years to my wonderful wife Amanda, we have a beautiful daughter, Hailey Joy.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They like my preaching.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is a preacher’s kid, knows a good sermon when she hears it. She is very encouraging even when she hasn’t heard one in awhile.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach God’s word from the heart.
  • Books that have had an impact: Blue Like Jazz -- I love the "word biblical commentary" series. If I could only have one commentary, WBC is my top choice.
  • Hobbies: I like all sports.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Seek God with everything you have, your life, your soul, the things you enjoy -- and he will bless you and honor you.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I have had a drunk man in the audience and he was shouting AMEN while the rest of the church wasn’t doing anything.
