• Comment to those looking at my sermons: I hope God uses this sermons to bless your life, ministry, and family. All I can say is that preaching is not what I want to say to the people but about what God has to say to the people through my life.

• Best advice given to me about preaching: Pray before preaching. Let God direct you. The preacher is like a medical surgeon. He needs to observe the needs of his church before he can operate on Sundays.
• Hobbies: Reading, traveling, writing
• Something funny that happened while preaching: The first time I preached I thought it would be the best to memorize my entire manuscript. As soon as I started preaching, I forgot completely what I was going to say. I had to make a prayer service that day.
• What I want on my tombstone: Javier Chavez, a servant of God.
