About Jason
  • Education: In 1998, Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Church Ministries, Specialization in Urban Ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. In 2010, Jason began his M.Div. degree with Liberty University.
  • Experience: Youth & Associate Pastor: Glad Tidings A/G, Altus, Oklahoma Minister of Youth, Outreach, & Discipleship: Radiant Life A/G, Houston, Texas Senior Pastor: Assembly of God, Brookshire, Texas Senior Pastor: Healing Waters A/G, Commerce, Texas Executive Pastor/Worship Pastor: Crossroads A/G, Greenville, Texas
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Contact me for a CD. It’s always better live.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Anything by E.V Hill or Tony Evans
  • Family: Husband & Father of 3
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My dad was the Senior Pastor when I served at Radiant Life A/G, so he liked them enough to share the pulpit with me. My dad & I have very different styles. His style is more expository. Mine is more of a story-teller. The people enjoyed my sermons because they’re not a cookie-cutter of my dad’s style or delivery.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She says she would rather hear me preach than anyone else. She says I have a way to make the most complex things in the Word to a level to where anyone could grasp them. (It’s Koinei Preaching!)
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Stay in the Word. There’s plenty in there to preach about without having to make stuff up. Dig deep & find the things that nobody else finds.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Jesus I Never Knew, A Tale of 3 Kings, In His Steps, Fresh Wind-Fresh Fire, Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, She Said Yes, The God Chasers, Six Hours-One Friday, A Mind for Missions, The Enemy Called Average, God’s Armorbearer, Everything by C.S. Lewis, Jonathan Edwards, C.H. Spurgeon, Andrew Murray, E.M. Bounds, Stanley Horton, Emmet Fox, A.W. Tozer, Watchman Nee, Stephen Hill, Charles Finney, R.C. Sproul, David Wilkerson, E.V. Hill.
  • Hobbies: Guitars, Drums, Music in general, Computers, Cars, Sports
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I was in the middle of a series about the Biblical Festivals when our annual Fire Department parade decided to pass by on a Sunday night. There were about 15 fire trucks driving 20 miles an hour blaring their sirens the whole time. We just had to stop the service & wait. Our sound man decided that it would be best to document this interruption, so we have this 10 minute block of me wandering over to the window & explaining to the church members what all the noise is.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Faithful husband, father, friend & Disciple of Christ.
