  • Education: Associate Arts in Business Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Ministry/Leadership 9 Hours of Master in Leadership Education
  • Experience: Jacob has served as Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Sparkman, AR since August of 2016. Prior to New Hope, he served as pastor at First Southern Baptist Church in Bearden, AR and Smead Community Baptist Church in Sparkman, AR. Jacob has also served as a youth pastor and a small group administrator within the local church. He has had the privilege of proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ at revivals, DNow Conferences, church camps and BCM events along with preaching an evangelistic crusade overseas.

  • Family: I am married to my best friend Holly! We have three amazing children: Peyton, Caitlyn, and Megan.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife is always honest me about my sermons... if something needs clarity she lets me know. She is support system!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach Jesus in the Bible! Not my opinions....

  • Hobbies: I love to hunt and fish.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: That it isn't about religion because religion is about rules and regulations.... It is all about Relationship! A life changing relationship with Jesus Christ!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: One moring during the welcome, the Cross on the wall behind me fell off of the wall and almost hit me in the head...
  • What I want on my tombstone: Born a slave to sin... Died a servant of Christ
