Fernand and Yolande were born and raised into Roman Catholic francophone families in the city of Trois-Rivières (Québec). Following-up an outstanding tract distribution by mail from Assemblies in the States and Toronto, Christian Workers visited Fernand's home in 1947. Shortly after, the whole family came to Christ and the Assembly at the Capde-la-Madeleine saw its very beginning in the home of his newly converted parents. Around 1950, Yolande came to the Lord and to the chapel with her dad, who before his conversion to the Lord and obviously before he was married, had been a monk in a Catholic Institution. By then, the Assembly had grown tremendously and was meeting in a new building. Fernand was active in the Assembly: Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent; Deacon; Leader of Young People's groups locally and provincially as well, while working at a secular work. Yolande was secretary. They got married in 1957 and after their first child was born, they came to BETHEL BIBLE INSTITUTE in 1959 as full-time students. WHAT ? Since 1963 and on to this day, Fernand has been the Radio speaker of the French Gospel Radio Program: LA FOI VIVIFIANTE (LFV); and producer and host of the French Gospel Television Program TOUTE LA BIBLE EN PARLE (TBP) from 1977 to 1997. The Radio programs (From 1963, every week, non-stop — still on the air!) are heard weekly in Quebec, France, Haiti, and Internet, at: www.lfv.qc.ca . “For the past 55 years, I have been invited to preach the Word in many areas of Quebec : I’ve also been active in radio and television evangelism and right now making extensive use of Emails and the Web as tools for the Lord’s Work. (Please type: Fernand Saint-Louis in Internet) May God bless the sowing of His precious Word in the hearts of people everywhere in this Province and in other parts of the world where French is the spoken language.” Fernand who has participated as a main speaker at the Canadian Evangelism Congress in 1970, has also taken part both at the Lausanne Congress in 1974 and Amsterdam Congress on Evangelism in 1983 as workshop speaker. Over the years, Fernand has been French Counseling Director at Sermons from Science's Pavilion 1967 and French language interpreter for the Billy Graham Campaigns in Florida 1985, in Toronto 1995 and Ottawa 1999; also the president for “Mission Québec with Billy Graham” crusade in Montreal, in 1990. WHERE ? At present, Fernand (an elder) and Yolande attend the Groupe biblique de la Rive-Sud in Longueuil (Quebec). They have also helped in establishing three Assemblies: "L'Assemblée chrétienne de Montmagny" 1962, and "Groupe biblique de la Rive-Sud" in Longueuil 1972; and Groupe biblique du Richelieu, Beloeil 1980 (From 1980 to 2017).
