  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: overlook the spelling errors... hear the law which tells you what you know - you are a sinner... and then - hear the good news - Christ came and died so that your sins will be forgiven. (Feel free to use my sermons, as long quotes are explained in context, and you do not twist my words
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Easter series (Lutherans celebrate it for 7 weeks) God Dances with Joy Fall series - Backseat Conversations on the Road to heaven.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: For Redemption using a empty coke can - crushing it - tossing it aside....as sin does to us later picking it up - noting that some find value in such, and switching it with a chalice.... for that is what Christ does with us...
  • Family: My wife is a teacher and we have one son that desires to be a robotic surgeon when he grows up
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: she likes them..... indicates I have gotten better over the years...
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach Christ Crucified
  • Books that have had an impact: Book of Concord Two Natures of Christ by Martin Chemnitz Michael Card’s Sacred Sorrow
  • Hobbies: Music (I play guitar, keyboards, bass, percussion, mountain dulcimer, computers
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Christ has Died, for you & I Christ has Risen - for you & I Christ will come again - for you & I
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: hmmmmmm
  • What I want on my tombstone: A broken man who found healing in Christ while helping others heal.
