About Dr. Donald
  • Education: Since retiring from the Military I have recived two Bachelors degrees, one in Religous studies the other in Education both from Wayland Universtiy in Texas. I recived a BA from Andersonville Seminar, then went to England to finish my PhD in Diverse Religon and Phlosophy, all this was accomplished in 11 years, by the grace of God. I am now finishing a MBA in Business and Pyschology from AIU.
  • Experience: I have been in the ministry for 16 years. I stated as a assocated pastor, then while in school was senior pastor for small churches through out West Texas. I have planted 3 churches in the West Texas area, worked as a chaplin in several capacity, hospitals, police fire departments. I am currently a chaplen with Markeplace Chaplins. I am very activ with the citys ministoral alliance where I hold a staff position.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Look at the content, do not look for intrinic metaphors, sermons should be short, to the point and lead people to Christ, by the Holy Spirits inspiration.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Semons which make a difference are those which inspire the person to seek God, develop and deeper relationship with God. Also sermons which cause men and women to be drawn out of their sins and into a loving forginess with Christ.
  • Family: I am married to a wonderful wife who is ordained, she preaches the word with power and anonting. We have three grown daughters, one grown grandson.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Both my parents are decesed
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks my seroms are a little long yet inspirational. There is only one other preacher she would rather hear and that is her father.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: When I was a young man, starting out in the ministry an older pastor told me, hold their attention and insure it is the Holy Spirit which leads you to speak.
  • Books that have had an impact: Books which Have an impact, John Maxwells leadership books are at the top of the list. Then Cornerstone leadership series are good for insperation and teaching.
  • Hobbies: I like to read, Play golf, lift weights with my Grandson and just enjoy life.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: I would tell the people the building is not what we are here for it is seeking to find the lost sheep which are scattered through out the world, go and find those sheep then come back for a refeshing when you are tired and hungry for God.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He’s not here, Hes with his Savior.
