Senior Pastor, 1996-97, Christian Family Fellowship, Canon City, Colorado. Senior Pastor, January 2000 to May 2005, Bethany Community Church, American Falls, Idaho. • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I truly hope something might be useful.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Vision Quest: Learning From Men Of Vision, May - June, 2002 Balancing Grace & Truth (based on Randy Alcorn’s book)
  • Family: I have two amazing sons and I am overwhelmingly grateful to God for each of them!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach from the heart. A sermon that is not born from the preacher’s soul is nothing more than a speech. Communicate like Jesus did... genuinely, passionately, and with authority. People want to be led to God and we do this most effectively when we preach with the conviction that the Holy Spirit has given us something to say.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Problem With Pain, Lewis; The Frog In The Kettle, Barna; The Issachar Factor, Martin & McIntosh; Fresh Wind - Fresh Fire, Cymbala; The Purpose Driven Church, Warren; Hinds Feet On High Places, Hurnard; Victory Over The Darkness, Anderson
  • Hobbies: Bass angling, Elk hunting, Scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, beachcombing, tech consulting, Arizona State Sundevils football fan, fine dining.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Let go of the past, live in the present basking in God's love and grace, and don't give much thought to the future.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Discovered my zipper was unzipped. Forgot to put my sermon on the pulpit before the service. Realized I had typed the wrong passage numbers I was supposed to use in that morning’s sermon, yikes!
  • What I want on my tombstone: Desired to live to my potential in Christ. Hope I came close anyway.
