  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I try to preach the Word honestly. I learned a long time ago that we are to study not to prove our position, but to see what the word actually says and then apply it to our lives. I try to do this in my ministry. - My goal in preaching is to lift up Jesus Christ as the Savior and bring glory to God.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: I enjoy "Attributes of God" by Steven Lawson (Ligonier Ministries).
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The cat in the tree. THe thoughts on children concerning the meaning of "Love."
  • Family: Wife - Cindy (Terrell | Chambers) Allen
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are deceased - I am sure that if they can look down from heaven that they are smiling.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Awesome man awesome!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Brag about Jesus. It is all about Him, not you. (Berlin Hisel)
  • Books that have had an impact: Who Moved My Cheese; Works of Johathan Edwards; Works of Charles Spurgeon; A. W. Pink - "Sovereignty of God"; John MacArthur writings; S. J. Lawson's - "Long Line of Godly Men" series; John Bunyan's "Pilgrims Progress"
  • Hobbies: Reading: Christian Bios - Biblical materials - Baptist Church History. Favorite Authors: A. W. Pink; J. C. Ryle; Charles Spurgeon; Albert Mohler. John MacArthur.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Repent - believe ont the Lord Jesus Christ - and God will show you mercy!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Just my usual stumbling with words concerning some of my mishaps in life.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Here preached a dying man to a dying people of a living Christ!
