About Benjamin
  • Education: Southwestern Assemblies of God University Student (U-grad)
  • Experience: Youth ministry: 10 years Youth Pastor: 1 year
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I know they may not be very deep, but they convey the love that God has shown me. Hope you can use them for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Once again, too many to name although Joyce Meyer and her sermons have made a profound impact upon my life and ministry.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Doug Fields I think: "You can yell at an ant all day long, but until you become an ant you can’t communicate with one. Jesus became a man to communicate His love for us and to warn of the consequences of sin." That pretty much sums it up.
  • Family: Wife:Shawna Daughter:Kyndal
  • What my parents think of my sermons: No idea.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Loves them. Really.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: No matter how the crowd responds, if you determined before hand that God would be glorified, and you did this to the best of your ability, then you have been successful in your ministry endeavor.
  • Books that have had an impact: Just about anything by: A.W. Tozer, Joyce Meyer, Norman Vincent Peale, Dick Eastman (No Easy Road), C.S. Lewis, Andy Stanley, and so many more I am drawing a blank. My favorite would probably be C.S. Lewis. What can I say, the man knows how to explain.
  • Hobbies: Too many to name.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: When you think I don’t understand how bad you’ve screwed up and how much God must be displeased with you, you don’t understand how much my God loves you.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Cell phone rang, wrong power point came up, spilled water down my shirt, I’ve done it all. It’s all about the recovery.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He may look pretty beat up in here, but he sure lived life.
