• Sermon or series that made a difference: The Priority of Prayer
• One of my favorite illustrations: As a child my Dad gave me an inflated Bozo the clown. Every time I would hit Bozo, it would rock back and forth. I became frustrated because I could not knock it down. Finally, I knocked it over and placed my foot on it’s head. "There" I said, "I’ve finally got you." However, when I walked away Bozo popped right back up. So it is with a child of God. We may be knocked down, but we are not out. Energized by the power of God we will rise up despite our knocks in life.

• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: "You talk to fast." "Slow down." Give me more teaching and Scripture verses.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Pray! Pray! Pray! Internalize the message.

• Hobbies: Collects pop up books, classic western movies/ tv shows. Plays golf
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus loves me this I know! Our hope is in him alone.
• What I want on my tombstone: Always pointed to the cross of Calvary
