Labor Day is a time to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers. Yet, it's also a reminder to rest and reflect on the importance of balancing work and rest in our lives. In the creation story, even God rested on the seventh day after completing His work. We, too, need to remember the value of rest and rejuvenation. As we celebrate Labor Day, let us not only give thanks for the labor and sacrifice of those who came before us, but also strive for a healthy balance of work and rest in our own lives, remembering that God calls us to honor both.
