About Mark
  • Education: I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Missions at Mattersey Hall Bible Colledge.
  • Experience: Until August 2006 I was a serving police officer and I believe that God had placed me in the job to contact those people that I would never have normally met. God blessed me with opportunities to enter schools and teach on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse from a Christian perspective. In September I left the police force to move to Slovakia, with my wife and child, to begin missionary work in the country. We are currently serving in a church that is planting two new churches in neighbouring cities.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: God has burdened me to preach both the love and mercy of God, as well as His Holiness and judgement.
  • Family: I was married in July 2002 to my wife Elizabeth. She has been blessed with a lovely singing ministry...Unfortunately I haven’t. While she sounds like a nightingale, I sound like a gale in the night. In 2006 we had a wonderful addition to our family, our daughter Jessica.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I can remember once preaching in an Elderly Folks Residential Home. I had a congregation of 20 people in front of me. Unfortunately 19 of these were fast asleep and the 20th was hard of hearing. Thoughout the whole sermon I could hear her repeating, ’You’d think they tell them to speak up wouldn’t you.’ By the end of the ten minute slot I was shouting as loud as I could and my voice was sore. I still didn’t manage to wake any of them though...’Oh’.. the joys of preaching.
