About Eddie
  • Education: My education is in accounting and Computer Technology. I am bi-vocational. I have also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Stephen Olford Institute (which I highly recommend).
  • Experience: Pastoring Pleasant Hill Community Church; prison ministry and several community outreach ministries.
  • Family: Married with three children.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife is not afraid to challenge my point of view. I have heard that the best asset to a preacher is to surround himself with 3-4 friends who are not impressed with his position and aren’t afraid to say what they think. My wife fits into that circle.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Organize messages into 3 or 4 main points.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: The purpose of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives is to shape us into the image of Christ. Remember the two primary laws Jesus gave - Love God with everything you have and love others as yourself. Anything that draws attention away from either of these is not of God. Anything that doesn’t promote these two principles doesn’t carry eternal significance.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Now I’m living!
