YOUR SPIRITUAL CHILDREN

MAIN TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:16

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

ROMANS 10:14

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

God has given every believer (Christian) a mandate to be fruitful and multiply. Fruitfulness in this Bible context does not only entail physical production of children, but it also implies winning souls for Him (Christ), who then become your spiritual children and require your follow up on a daily basis just like your biological child.

Through the death of Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary, we are reconciled back to God to reconcile others as well. And when you don’t preach the gospel of Christ, how will they be saved?

The number of your spiritual children determines how active you are in the Lord. It also brings joy in heaven and increases your crown. So, how many souls have you won and followed-up along the line?

You nurture these spiritual children by encouraging them with the word of God, praying for them and rendering any possible assistance to them.

Finally, you show appreciation unto your convertor and unto God by winning a soul for Christ today.
