Summary: A message to encourage you and strengthen you as you go through the battle.

(I). When we read the David and Goliath story we realize the following:

1. Goliath thought because David had only a stick, that he was easily going to defeat David. (1 Samuel 17:41-44)

2. David did not respond to Goliath in fear or doubt. But in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And he even claimed the victory in advance. (1 Samuel 17:45-47)

3. When Goliath began to walk towards David, David began to run towards the fight. And when David was ready he took a stone out of his bag and slug it at Goliath. And as an end result David defeated and killed Goliath. (1 Samuel 17:48-51)

(II). What valuable lessons can we take away from this story.

1. David did not much to win the battle.

2. He just needed his sling shot and a stone

3. Most importantly he needed his faith in Jesus Christ.

(III). So I ask you church today what battles are you afraid of conquering?

1. If God came through for David won't he come through for you?

2. All you have to do is have faith in Jesus Christ.

3. And you will win the battle that is ahead of you.

AND ALL GODS CHILDREN SAID AMEN!
