Two months ago on June 25, 2009, the man known as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, unexpectantly died at the age of 50 years old. Michael Jackson was known to be the greatest entertainer to have ever lived in our lifetime. Michael Jackson had sold millions of CD’s and record albums worldwide, and had sold out most of his concerts during his life here on earth. Michael Jackson had performed many great hits that we still sing and dance to this very day such as:

• ABC

• Never can say goodbye

• I want you back

• Got to be there

• I’ll be there

• Dancing Machine

• Blame it on the Boogie

• Shake your body to the ground

• Don’t stop till you get enough

• Rock with you

• Wanna be starting something

• Lovely One

• Beat it

• Billie Jean

• PYT

• Thriller

• Bad

• The Man in the mirror

• Black or White

• In the closet

• Remember the time

• You are not alone

• Blood on the dance floor

• You rock my world

• And many more other songs that Michael Jackson had written and sang.

Michael Jackson also was known to be a humanitarian who gave lots of money to charitable organization to help the needy and poor people. Even though Michael Jackson has been dead for almost two months now, he still continues to sell millions of CD’s across the world. He is actually more famous in his death than he was alive because people worldwide are still buying his CD’s, still downloading his songs off the internet, still singing and dancing to his songs, still dressing like him with his red jacket, and one white glove, and they are still imitating Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk.

Now there is nothing wrong with celebrating the life and the accomplishment of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. In matter of fact, and despite of what you may have heard, you will not go to hell for listening to Michael Jackson. But we should not worship Michael Jackson as if he is a God because God has said that He alone is God and He will share his glory with no one else.

But yet there is another famous man who happened to die at the age of 33 who should be celebrated much more than Michael Jackson. Now this man that I am talking about never sold any records, but yet there are numerous of songs written about this man that has never went out of style. This man never had sold out concerts, but this man has had church musicals where mass choirs sang songs about him, and has had CD’s sold that featured him in their musical lyrics. Just like Michael Jackson had a large entourage, body guards, and crowds following him where ever he went, this man also had a large crowd following him where ever he went, especially when he fed the 5,000 with just two fish and five loaves of bread, performing miracles, or whenever he went out to different places preaching and teaching the Word of God. This man even did humanitarian work like Michael Jackson except this man healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, made the cripple man walk, cast out demons out of people, and raising up dead people. In matter of fact, this man still doing a great work because somebody said that this man woke them up this morning, and starting them on their way. Yes, this man died at the age of 33, but there is a big difference between this man and Michael Jackson death. When Michael Jackson died, he was laying on his bed in his bedroom in his home. But when this man died, he was nailed and crucified to an old rugged cross out in the open public being ridiculed by his enemies. When Michael Jackson had his funeral, it was held at the Staples Center where thousands of people attended, and was shown on worldwide TV.

But when this man died, they just took his body off the cross, no funeral service was held, and they just buried him in a borrowed tomb. But the difference between Michael Jackson and this man is that Michael Jackson is still dead. But this man had rose from the dead after three days of his death. And this man whom I am talking about is Jesus the Christ, who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the one that needs to be celebrated, worshiped, praised, glorified, magnified in our thanksgiving; for Psalm 107:1 says, "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever."
