YOU LIVE WHAT YOU THINK

Proverbs 23:7

We are in warfare – a battle – we are in it whether we are aware of it or not. If you are not aware of it, you will be like a blindfolded man in a boxing ring. Taking the blows but no defense. This conflict is worldwide.

2 Cor 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (KJV)

Eph. 6: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV)

We wrestle against Dark Powers

a. Casting down imaginations

b. Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

The Battle is in the Realm of the Mind and Thoughts:

The object of Satan's methodology is to gain control of the minds of people through thoughts, arguments and deception. Unseen forces are arrayed against us. The only way that we can get victory and know peace is through learning and applying God’s Word.

The Word of God shows us our enemy – what he is like, his character and shows us our weapons with which to defend our self and to take the OFFENSIVE not defensive.

People and Christians are like an iceberg – 10% above the surface and 90% below – only each one of us know the conflict we face in our own lives. In conflict some Christians are like an ostrich, when scared, buries its head in the sand and pretends its enemy is not there.

Psalm 139, David wrote this after his sin of adultery and repentance. David thought that he was the only one, who knew about it, that nobody else in the kingdom knew not even God (2 Sam. 12 and Psalm 51). David soon found out and hence this following Psalm.

Psalm 139: 1-12 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. (KJV)

“Mans thoughts sound as loud in heaven as man’s words do on earth”

“Do I want heaven to know my thoughts??” - There is not a thought, imagination, desire, and intents of our hearts that God doesn’t know. GOD IS ALL KNOWING! Don’t be deceived, face the facts, not only does God know our actions but all we think, even what you plan to do – EVERYTHING.

In the Gospels, Jesus knew the thoughts of the Scribes and Pharisees. There is nothing secret to God or the angels.

Heb. 4: 12-13 – with whom you have to do, Consider, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (KJV)

Rev. 1: 14-16 and the Judgment Seat of Christ

GOD’S ENEMIES ARE OUR ENEMIES

Ps. 139:21-24 – God’s enemies are mine – what enemies?

vs. 23-24 – Search me and see if there are any enemies IN me.

Rom. 8:7 – The carnal mind is enmity against God

Christians have never been overthrown from the outside – always from WITHIN you cannot be defeated from the outside.

John 14:30 – Jesus said “Satan cometh and hath nothing in me”
