You are Unique!

Psalm 126:5”Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!”

Hey friend, God’s plan is unique in each one’s life! Others stay away when the Master is at work ! Don’t try to give your inputs and foil the plan! Job’s friends tried to give their inputs and thereby further aggravate the pain. I have seen people tell: why not try this strategy, why not print the pamphlets this way, why not announce the meeting dates this way, why not learn to build your church ‘their’ way! Stop. There is a SEASON for everything! The building is in process, not over yet…..stay tuned with HIM. Remember, your life, ministry, gifts and talents are unique! Failures, disappointments, emptiness, hollowness, pain and betrayals are God’s tools for building! Don’t panic! Season of dancing would surely follow!

Mathew Henry says, “Whatever happens to us, it is God that performs it, and an admirable performance the whole will appear to be when the mystery of God shall be finished. He performs all that, and that only, which was appointed, and in the appointed time and method. This may silence us, for what is appointed cannot be altered.”

Job faces the horror of pain, sickness, loss and betrayals all in one blow. When he ultimately gets the most painful news of the death of all his ten children, look what he does, verse 20 “Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.21 And he said: " Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." Boy, it’s pretty tough to explain this! This is the highest form of worship! My mom asked me one day, “I don’t understand the book of Job, why does he suffer so much despite his integrity and love for God?” I’m sure many of you have this question in mind! We need to understand the mind of Christ and know His heart beat in order to understand the book of Job - it took me many years though.

Have you had the experience of holding the scan report to the doctor and waiting to know the results? I have had this several times in my life! The last time when the doctor declared, ‘you need immediate major operation because 90 percent of your uterus is occupied by huge fibroids’, it did shatter me. Another operation? Why Lord? Turbulence, angst and worry in my mind was put to rest when I walked into His presence! Couple of operations, sickness and illness has not broken me – they have brought more patience, kindness, understanding and character in me – I value them more than pearls!
