Summary: When people lose hope they make bad decisions and live in darkness, despair and loneliness. Jesus has come to make nigh or close to Him.

Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

The devil likes use hopelessness to defeat people both believer and unbeliever. Jesus died to give hope. Non Jews were brought into the covenants, but the promises were primarily for the Jews.

The blood of Christ has cleansed us from all sin and if we are His we are never without hope. Sin can be forgiven and the sinner restored. That is salvation for an unbeliever who comes to Him. For the saint, it is restoration and renewal.

No matter what this life or the enemy throws at you there is hope and one day all pain will be healed and the enemy will be in the lake of fire. Unbeliever come to the wellspring of life and hope. Believer do not listen to the father of lies or look at your present situation. God is the One who took care of you in the past. He is in your present and will shape your future in hope if you trust Him.

"There's hope for the hopeless

And all those who've strayed

Come sit at the table

Come taste the grace

There's rest for the weary

Rest that endures

Earth has no sorrow

That heaven can't cure."
