YOU ARE MARKED AS A CHILD OF GOD

(1) Believes that Jesus is the Christ

1st John 5: 1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

You have to believe to receive

You must be born again

If you love Jesus you belong to him

(2) Does righteousness

1st John 2: 29If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Your life shows Christ

Your life shows his righteousness

It shows our new birth

(3) Keeps his commandments

1st John 2: 3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Obey his words is a witness for him to the world

His commandments are our laws

His commandments are our teacher

Doing what he ask is our duty

(4) Does not practice sin

1st John 3: 9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

We may fail at times but he is with us

We fight to overcome our sins

The spiritual part of remains in Christ

He cannot sin

(5) Is hated by the world

1st John 3: 13Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

We are hated because do his will

We are hated by the world

We are hated by Satan

Keep holding on to the Lord

(6) Loves the brethren

1st John 3: 14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

We can live because he lives in us

We have a new life through our Lord

We may die yet we live through Christ

(7) Overcomes the world

1st John5: 4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

We can overcome objects the devil put them in front of us

Being born again we have victory through the spirit of our Lord

Our faith keeps

Our faith gets stronger
