Yet

Acts 5:13”……..Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.”

Observe, this scripture opens with the word ‘yet!’ If you scroll backwards in the same chapter, you would read of the death of Ananias and Sapphira who lied to Peter. It was just not the isolated incident of their dishonesty regarding the sales of their land that caused their death, but it was wickedness in their heart to lie regarding the offering to the church. Remember, your thoughts and intentions cannot be hidden from God! The apostles of Jesus Christ preached the Word with power without bottling down the scripture and God put His approval on their teachings through signs and wonders that were done by the apostles among the people. YET….read it again YET, there were people who did not dare to join them!

There are many out there who would may like my illustrations, language and what not YET; they would not immediately obey the Word. I have talked a lot about pirated software, embezzlement of funds through submission of false bills while claiming medical, Leave travel allowance and transport bills. Smart, acute brains that work out wicked ways to evade tax, misuse of office phones, stationary and office time, gossiping maliciously about higher authorities and many such things. YET…how many truly and totally walk out on all these things? Tell me. Many wait and wait until they are devastated by Tsunami. Jesus said, John 3:19”And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” Hypocrites and pretenders would never join the good crowd! They love to stick to teachings that pamper their lifestyle and does not disturb them. If man is drinking beer as well as attending church, he is surely not going to visit a church where the pastor is pelting stones at the wine shop. A man who is a crazy cinema-lover would never want to hear a person that condemns the movies world. People who have one leg in the world are never going to like the preachers who speak on one hundred percent holiness – that includes Jesus, because He categorically demands ‘holiness.’ Are you listening to me? Circulate this far and wide. Let every Christian – be it protestant or Roman Catholic or Pentecostal read it and repent.

We have been hearing of ‘blood and death’ since the opening of this week, let me say it again just in case you are oblivious to what is happening around you or may be fully encased in your personal work not bothered as long as you are safe in your cocoon:

• Two explosions struck the Boston Marathon as runners crossed the finish line on Monday, witnesses said, injuring at least four people on a day when tens of thousands of people pack the streets to watch one of the world's best known marathons.

• A major 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Iran near the border with Pakistan on Tuesday killing 40 people and injuring many.

What does the above indicate? Wrath of God! I have been writing day in and day out expounding to you all the commandments of God and His ways. YET, we have scores of people who walk in their own ways; read, Jeremiah 9:14”… but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts.” Repent now!
