Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas

Sermons

Summary: As the Lord in His mercy has ushered us into the new year, it’s important that we start the year with prayer that brings our hearts closer to the Lord in appreciation of His goodness. And to invite Him fresh into our lives, household and everything that we do.

Prayer Points for the New Year

2023 –It’s my Year of Great Inspirations.

Day 1. Mon. Jan 2, 2023

Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving unto our living God for who He is and for all His benevolence this passing year.

Praise Him for the salvation of your soul and immense work of Calvary through His son.

The year was full of uncertainty, but we all survived it.

Prayer Focus: Identify your lows and highs in the passing year and thank God for the experience, knowing fully well that “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

Pray that the Lord will journey with you in the new year and will be a light unto your path.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5, 6).

Pray that His plan for you in the new year will prevail over your personal ambition. Jeremiah 29:11(KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Pray for the spirit of God to fill you in this prayer and fasting season in order to pray through.

Pray that the spirit of the Lord will give you divine revelations that are beneficial to you and the people around you.

Day 2. Tue. Jan 3, 2023

Prayer Focus: Prayer against the Covid-19 Pandemic all over the world,covid-19 pandemic is still ravaging in some parts of the world despite the available Vaccines. Being fully vaccinated is not a guarantee of survival.

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” – Psalm 127:1

It’s surprising to know that here in Manitoba, Covid-19 killed more people, in 2022 than 2021. So, brethren, we need to pray because we serve Jehovah Jireh who heals all manner of diseases, that the Lord will put an end to this issue fighting the nations of the world and causing great damages. It’s a silent weapon that the enemies are using.

And now, we declared in JESUS' name, ENOUGH is ENOUGH !

Prayer Focus: Additionally, the economic situation of the entire world looks gloomy, from country to country, we can see the impact of inflation on the standard of living of most people. No one is able to predict what’s next. Pray that the Lord that took care of Elijah in the time of famine will take care of you and your household.

1 kings 17:4, 5 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

Pray that the Lord will direct the Church of God (Universal body of Christ) with the the insights to know what to do at this time.

It was famine time and Elijah had no hope of survival, but the Lord instructed Elijah on what to do.

Pray the Lord will give us insights and Inspiration on what to do at this time. It is our year of great Inspirations.

Day 3. Wed. Jan 4, 2023

Prayer Focus: Prayer against all forms of wastefulness that the enemies have planned against us. They come in various forms e.g. unexplainable emergency expenditures, unexplainable parking or speeding tickets, accidents, Sickness, Troubled Homes and Marriages, etc.

Prayer against untimely death in our midst and forms of accidents this new year.

2 Samuel 15:31, ESV: And it was told David, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O LORD, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

The Lord that turned the counsel of Ahithophel against David into foolishness will turn the counsel of the enemies roundabout us into vain. If the counsels of Ahitophel were to succeed and be executed, David would have died prematurely, but David PRAYED! Please pray the same prayer.

Day 4. Thurs. Jan 5, 2023

Prayer for the Children: Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127: 3.

Children have special place in the heart of the Lord. He commanded us to be like them if we truly want to inherit the kingdom of God.

Prayer Focus: Pray that they will grow in the knowledge of God and great wisdom. And they will achieve great success in their academic pursuits and other undertaken. They will fulfill their purpose. Pray that the Lord will help them to overcome their challenges e.g. Peer pressures to commit evil.
