A Woman Worth Finding

Proverbs 31:10- 31, may not represent the average wife and mother in Israel at the time, but it does capture the imagination and remind us that all too rarely does mother receive the recognition she deserves. She presents an ideal of motherhood that we have never outgrown.

If Proverbs does not rise completely to the standard of our modern era in which woman is finding emancipation from the age-long conceit that man was her master, it should not be forgotten that in the interval between the writing of Proverbs and our own time the world has been profoundly affected by the teaching of Jesus.

CONCLUSION: Every woman can, and should, be a excellent woman! Because of the REWARDS which she herself will find, and the BENEFITS it will give to those who depend on her. (Vs. 28-31)
