Working While We Wait

Summary: This sermon provides three jobs that Christians should be doing while waiting on the Lord’s return.
I. Introduction
a. For background purposes - 2 Peter 3:8-10
b. Jesus is going to return, but he as a job for us to do while we are waiting on his return.
c. We are to be working for the Lord.
II. Our first job is to walk. (14)
a. Our walk is to be blameless and spotless.
III. Our second job is to witness. (15)
a. The Lord’s patience means others can be saved.
IV. Our third job is to withstand. (16-17)
a. We must know the truth and not be carried away by falsehoods.
V. Conclusion
a. The result is that we will grow in grace and knowledge (18)
i. Sometimes we forget the knowledge part
