Summary: The importants of Prayer cannot be under estimated.

Prayer the food of life and ministry

Why is prayer so important?

Prayer is the way that God has decided to get things done. God will not move unless someone prays.

John Wesley said that it seems that God can do nothing unless someone prays or ask Him.

So what does prayer do.

Prayer gives us direction.

Habakkuk 2:1-3 (NKJV)

HABAKKUK 2

2:1 I will stand my watch

And set myself on the rampart,

And watch to see what He will say to me,

And what I will answer when I am corrected.

The Just Live by Faith

2 Then the LORD answered me and said:

“Write the vision

And make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

Prayer is how people get saved.

Psalms 2:8 (NKJV)

8 Ask of Me, and I will give You

The nations for Your inheritance,

And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Prayer is what keeps us strong and others also

Galatians 4:19 (NKJV) My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

A couple of Paul's Holy Spirit prayers

Eph. 1:15-23

Eph. 3:14-21

This is how we fight in spirit realm, and people need us bad.

Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV)

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,* against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

How much should we pray?

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) pray without ceasing,

Prayer is what develops intimacy with God. If we don't pray it's very hard to be imitate with Him.
