III. OBJECTIVES:

Ephesians 5:23 (New King James Version)

VI. TITLE:

Why Do You Involve Me?

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Apostle John - Apostle and Evagelist, son of Zebedee and Salome

Matthew 27:56 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother of James and Joseph), and the mother of James and John, the sons of Zebedee.

Mark 15:40-41 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Some women were there, watching from a distance, including Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother of James the younger and of Joseph), and Salome.

They had been followers of Jesus and had cared for him while he was in Galilee. Many other women who had come with him to Jerusalem were also there.

B. Time of writing: A.D. 97

C. Directions of writing: CHRIST's Divine Power and Authority

D. Place of writing: Uncertain, probably Ephesus

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Dear Woman

1. Woman came from the Greek word:"gune" meaning woman, wife,

it was not of disrespect but of honor to a woman due her.

In Christ's reply to his mother there was no disrespect. — Matthew Henry Concise

1 Timothy 2:11-15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Women should learn quietly and submissively.

I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly.

For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve.

And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result.

But women will be saved through childbearing, assuming they continue to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty.

2. Our LORD JESUS CHRIST referred to her mother as Eve. Somehow Mary was reminded of her place.

If the husband is the head of every wife, then Adam is the head of Eve, but Eve showed she can lead their relationship, hence, the fall. Then CHRIST is the Head of Mary, for Mary belonged to the Church.

1 Timothy 2:14 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result.

1 Timothy 2:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Women should learn quietly and submissively.

Colossians 3:18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:23 (New King James Version)

For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

B. Why do you involve me?

1. If the first Adam just said this statement to her wife, Eve, he would not have disobeyed GOD by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. There's a time to listen to the wife but the husband should exercise submitting to GOD rather than to the wife, the wife submits to the husband.

Genesis 3:16-17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Then he said to the woman, “I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”

And to the man he said, “Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.

2. Involving the LORD JESUS CHRIST means Miracles. Wherever CHRIST is there are signs, wonders and miracles.

Romans 15:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

They were convinced by the power of miraculous signs and wonders and by the power of God’s Spirit. In this way, I have fully presented the Good News of Christ from Jerusalem all the way to Illyricum.

Because during those days, they did not acknowledge our LORD JESUS CHRIST as CHRIST and GOD, so they only got His miracles but missed CHRIST, get the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you'll get everything, it's a package deal.

John 7:31 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)
