Summary: WHY WE ARE TO WORSHIP GOD.

WHY DID GOD CALL THEM OUT?

Text: Ex. 5:1-10

Intro: When you get serious about serving God Pharaoh always makes it harder on you.

Verse 7-10

You want to serve God but now you have to work overtime.

SO WHY DID GOD CALL THEM OUT?

LET’S LOOK AT WHAT GOD DID NOT CALL THEM TO DO.

1. GOD DID NOT CALL THEM TO WANDER FOR 40 YEARS.

** They wandered for 40 years.

De 2:3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.

SOME HAVE WANDERED LONG ENOUGH GOD DID NOT CALL YOU OUT OF EGYPT TO WANDER.

2. GOD DID NOT CALL YOU OUT OF EGYPT TO WORRY.

** HOW MANY TIME DID SOME OF THEM SAY I DON’T KNOW HOW WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT WE SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN EGYPT (WORRY)

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

BE CAREFUL- merimnao, mer-im-nah’-o - to be anxious about:--(be, have) care(-ful), take thought.

** You can’t sleep at night.

** You can’t eat.

** You can’t function with out a nerve pill.

WHEN YOU WERE IN EGYPT YOU DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE PILLS.

YOU HAD COCAIN, LIQUOR, AND BEER.

3. GOD DID NOT CALL YOU OUT OF EGYPT TO WHITHER.

YOU SAY PREACHER THEY DID NOT WHITHER THEIR SANDALS DID NOT EVEN WEAR OUT.

BUT THEY DID NOT GET ANYTHING NEW EITHER.

SOME ARE STILL TRYING TO MAKE IT ON WHAT YOU HAD.

YOU CANT EVEN PRAISE GOD ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYTHING NEW.

ALL THEY DID NOT THE WILDERNESS WAS MAINTAIN.

I DON’T WANT TO MAINTAIN I WANT TO GROW!

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

GOD DID NOT CALL YOU OUT FOR YOU TO DIE IN THE WILDERNESS.

4. GOD DID CALL THEM OUT TO GIVE THEM HIS WORD.

EX. CHAPTER 14- DUET. CHAPTER 34 WAS GIVEN TO THEM WHILE IN THE WILDERNESS.

ALL OF THE LAW.

WHEN YOU ARE IN THE WILDERNESS OF LIFE GODS WORD WILL HELP YOU THROUGH.

5. GOD DID CALL THEM OUT TO WORSHIP.

Ex 5:3 ¶ And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

Psalms 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

GOD WILL BE WORSHIPED- lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

GOD HAS BEEN TOO GOOD TO US FOR US NOT TO WORSHIP HIM.

I’M NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT RAISING OUR HANDS OR SHOUTING.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

SPIRIT-pneuma, pnyoo’-mah - mind.

WE MUST SET OUR MINDS ON GOD.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

TRUTH- aletheia, al-ay’-thi-a -truth:--true.

WHEN WE WORSHIP WE MUST BE HONEST WITH GOD AND OUR SELF.

SOME CANT WORSHIP BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW THAT YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED OUT OF EGYPT?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER UNDER SATAN’S RULE?
