8 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.
c. The last days will be a time of sorrows.
2. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
a. This is not only an assault on America, on Americans, or on Christians, but on God the Father and Christ Jesus.
Acts 4:26
26 The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’
3. "Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us."
a. It is not who we are, but Whose we are and what we stand for that the world hates.
Luke 21:16-17
16 "You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
17 "And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.

11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
b. Christ, Christians, and Americans are a thorn in the side of people who do not like freedom.
John 15:18
18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
4. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the LORD shall hold them in derision.
a. No matter what they do, God is not moved.
Dan 6:26
… For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; his kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end.
5. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure.
a. God will deal with them, and it won’t be pretty.
Ps 37:13-15
13 The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to slay those who are of upright conduct.
15 Their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
6. "Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion."
a. No matter what happens, God is still on the throne.

2 Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.
7. "I will declare the decree: the LORD has said to Me, ’you are my son, today I have begotten You.
a. We may not understand why these things happen, but we must remember, that God loves us and that we are His children.
John 16:27
27 "for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
8. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.
a. Though these acts are wicked acts committed by wicked men, we must not give in to hate and forget the Great Commission of the Church, to win the lost…even the perpetrators of these crimes.
Ps 22:27
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.
Matt 5:44
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
9. You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’"
a. In Christ we shall “break” and “dash”, not the people, but the spirit of evil that drives them. It is God’s job to “break” and “dash” the nations in judgment.
