Summary: The sign that we have to show that we are Christians is love. If we love one another, then the world will know that we are Christians. It is shocking to see the disunity among ourselves. The hate we display to one another even as unbelievers watch and wonder.

Many Christians are disturbed by the hate that is being witnessed against people who publicly declare their faith in JESUS CHRIST.

In fact JESUS HIMSELF told us that as things escalate one of the signs of the end times is that we will be handed over for death by even our own relatives.

Truly, this world is not our home.

As I told you in previous posts, my country Kenya, elected a new president in 2022.

He openly declares his faith and his fidelity to Christianity and the church. His wife does not hide the fact that she is a prayerful Christian and neither does his mother.

The children of GOD were very happy about this, the elevation to high political office.

We had always been praying for a Christian to be president. And so it happened.

So, what happened? What is happening?

What should all those praying for Christian leaders expect? I mean those praying for true Christian leaders expect?

Be prepared for hate galore. After all, we fight not against flesh and blood but against satan and his hordes.

Be prepared to see the victory of The LORD as HE stands with HIS own.

Be prepared to pray for the leader with all your might.

Do not be discouraged.

Yes, this our president does have his weaknesses like all of us but for some reason because of our identity as children of GOD and the Body of CHRIST, we are held to a higher and different standard.

The disturbing thing beloved, is the amount of hatred directed towards him by people who categorize themselves and maybe categorized by others as Christians, pastors, born again people, church goers.

It is said that women are their worst enemies and they hate each other and rival each other and can never support each other but I think as Christians we are outdoing women in being our own worst enemies.

Beloved, the amount of hatred is shocking, disturbing, perplexing and outright weird.

Recently, protests were reported countrywide. The vilification of the man was out of this world. Past leaders had done worse but the hound dogs were unleashed against the president. It was almost , it is still unbelievable.

Even pastors joined the protests, it is reported. Surely!

Even prophets come out blankly to state that GOD has rejected him. Surely! Indeed the rain is beating us.

It brings to mind the scripture where our SAVIOR told us plainly that if the world hates him, it will hate us.

The former US President Trump is undergoing the same thing at the hands of people affiliated with the Christian faith.

So, who truly is a Christian? What is the identity of a Christian?

Scripture tells us that the world will know we are Christians by our love. This is the case. So where is our love? Are we Christians or just fair weather affiliates of the christian faith?

If we Christians do not stand together, how will it be for us?

So, what should we do:

1. Know that we are in the world and not of this world.

2. Let us be encouraged. Let us encourage ourselves in The LORD.

3. Let us uphold President Ruto, President Trump and all other leaders affiliated with our faith in relentless prayer. When we see them, these our brethren in affliction. Let us pray for them. Yes, let us uphold them in prayer.

4. Again, let us pray for leaders especially if they are of the sheep fold. Pray for their families.

5. Let us not join with groups of people or individuals who are denouncing our brethren. Instead, say all the good you know about them. If you have nothing good to say or in doubt, just keep quiet.

6. Do not believe the lies and propaganda. Even if it is true, pray GOD to forgive them and make a way for them.

7. Put up a defense of them. No matter how out-numbered and out argued you are. Say the good. Use facts. If things start getting ugly, be quiet and be on your way.

8. Accept that children of GOD will be hated.

9. Let us stand by each other. Let us stand by our Christian brethren. Never take a stand on the side of the enemy. Or on the side of the lukewarm.

I repeat stand by him. On voting day, get up and go and vote. ( I remember when we were voting in this past election, it looked like a lost cause. The establishment was against President Ruto and it looked like voting for him was a lost cause but we were determined, rallied ourselves and just went to vote and left the rest in the hands of GOD. And the guy was declared President against all odds. And indeed the odds were stacked against him, really and heavily stacked against him. I wonder what happened. Indeed the crowds that welcomed JESUS to Jerusalem were the same crowds yelling, "Crucify HIM". and crucify HIM they did. Brethren, do we never learn?)
