Whose Voice Will You Believe

Summary: The believer is challenged to know and heed God's voice verses the world or Satan's voice.
Some are falling away from the faith and will spend eternity, separated from God. In 2 Peter 2:4, Peter basically says, if God did not spare the angels who sinned against Him, what do you think He will do to those who reject Him after they have experienced fellowship with Him?
According to Jesus the Pharisees could not understand the words He spoke because they did not agree with Him. (John 8:43).They did not want to hear what He had to say because they did not want to do what He said. They did not want anyone, not even God himself to tell them what to do or place restrictions on their behavior.
They did not want to hear what He had to say because, His words were different from their "father's" words (John 8:44). Their father "Satan" gave them permission to divorce their wives for any cause/reason. They divorced their wives, if she got too fat, or if they found someone they thought was prettier, or if she was a bad housekeeper, etc. However, Jesus' Father said the only valid reason for divorce was adultery. And man should remain with his wife until parted by death because that's what He intended from the beginning of time.
Their father said take the money you should use to take care of your elderly parents and use it for yourself or make a vow to devote it to the temple (Mark 7:11). While Jesus' Father said, honor your father and mother and give to those in need (Mark 7:10) and (Luke 6:38).
God told Adam and Eve they would die if they ate from the tree of knowledge. Satan told them they would not die if they ate from the tree. They believed Satan and ate from the tree, so we die! Just as he beguiled Adam and Eve, Satan has beguiled many today.
Satan says Hell is not real, or if hell is real Jesus is too good, loving and kind to send people there. Don't believe the lie, you will die and go to hell if you fail to believe the truth. God's word is truth.
Jesus was very clear when he said hell was created for Satan and his angels (Matthew 25:41). He also said those failing to take care of the poor, sick and needy will join Satan and his angels in hell (Matthew 25:41-46). He said the wicked will go there (Matthew 13:38-42). He also said the fearful, unbelieving, murder, idolater and those practicing magic arts, will go there (Revelation 21:8).
God is love and he loves everyone He's created. However, He has given everyone free will. Will you believe the bible is God's word? Will you believe hell is real? Or will you believe the lying voice of the enemy who say's hell is not real and the bible is a man made book?
Scripture says in the last days there will be a great falling away (2 Thessalonians 2:3). And during that time men and women will be lovers of themselves, blasphemers, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Because they are pleasure seekers they will be caught in a web of deception, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy chapter 3). The word deceived comes from a word that means to cover or plate with beams! It's one thing to have something covered (hidden) but to cover with beams, points to the sad condition a deceived person is in. Sin causes deception. Once deception sets in a stronghold is built and operated by a strongman.
Dr. Clarence Walker, author of "Breaking Strongholds in the African American Family"says, "A stronghold is a forceful stubborn argument, rationale, opinion, idea and/philosophy that is formed and resistant to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
It's important to note that Walker says the strongholds "will not be complained away, picketed away or regulated.Arguing or reasoning about doctrine, opinions and ideologies will not destroy a stronghold." Only the light of Christ propelled by the convicting work of the Holy Spirit can remove the beams of deceit Satan has placed in the minds of men and women today.
If you know you need change in your life but are enjoying sin cry out to God for help. He said if you call He will answer. If you confess your sin (admit or acknowledge your sin) He will cleanse you from it. Yes, you can confess your doubt and unbelief to God. You do the confessing, He does the cleansing (1 John 1:9).
