Summary: Heaven and who you will find there.
Who’s Who In Heaven?
By Robert A. Glass
(Revelations 22:1-7)
Heaven, just the name by itself is a joy to hear. The word just glistens the tongue. Imagination cannot fathom, Heaven. The joy of Heaven, the bliss of Heaven, the magnitude of Heaven, ALL are beyond the mind of man.
A glimpse of Heaven? In Revelations 22:1-7, The Apostle John wrote, “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: Heaven has a pure river, the water of Life, Streets of gold and a pearly gate. God is real, Heaven is real,
Now who will go there?
Mt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matt 5:10) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 19:14, But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Universalists say everyone: This is false. Lazarus opened his eyes in Abraham’s bosom; the rich man opened his eyes in torment. NOT ALL will be saved. Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
The Bible – The obedient faithful children of God: 2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
No Sin Shall Enter there: 1 John 1:5-6 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
NO ONE CAN GO THERE UNLESS HE:
a. Believes (Heb 11:6; Acts 16:31) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
b. Repent (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30) (3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (17:30) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
c. Confesses Christ (Matt 10:32; Romans 10:10) (32) Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
d. Is Baptized (Gal 3:26,27; Romans 6:3,4; 1 Peter 3:21)(27) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 2Corinthians 6:2 (Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) The Baptistry is ready and now is the time. Will you respond to the Gospel call? Will you be baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost? Will you come forward at this time? Shall we stand and sing?
