Who is God?
John 14:1-6
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
I Who is God ?
The Bible does not seek to prove the existence of God; it simply affirms His existence by declaring, in the beginning was God
Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
I. Attributes of God.
A. God Is a Spirit. " John 4:24
B. God Never Changes. Hebrews 1:12 ...but thou art the same,
C. God Is All Powerful. God’s power is unlimited. The only limitations on God’s power are imposed by Himself
D. God Is All Knowing. God possesses all knowledge
E. God Is Everywhere. God is not confined to any part of the universe but is present in all His power at every point in space and every moment in time He is the God of all the earth .
F. God Is Eternal. Past, present, and future are known equally to Him ,God sees time in its entirety.
II Do You Believe In God? Psalms 14:1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
III How can we come to the Father?
Although we cannot fully understand God, we still can know Him. There is only one way to know God and that is through Jesus the Christ,
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Acts 4:2 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
John. 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
The test Not of works, but of a personal relationship
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
You’re Ether saves or your not.
