Summary: What is your heart like to others?
WHICH OF THESE DESCRIBES YOUR HEART?
Ephesians 4: 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Remember a compassionate heart is the mark of a true high mark Christian.
This is the grace all Christians need in all our meetings.
Let’s check up see where we stand.
1. Is your heart a tender one?
Eph 4: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Easily moved for the suffering.
Showing mercy for sinner.
Example of salvation.
2. Do you have a true heart?
Hebrews 10: 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Full assurance of your salvation.
Faith in Christ Church fellow Christians.
Not likely to fail.
3. Is there trouble in your heart?
John 14: 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Are you mad sad are glad ?
Agitated irritated all ways ill .
Never happy at anything.
Distressed at every thing that comes along.
4. Do you have a trembling heart?
Deuteronomy 28: 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
Fear of God’s judgment.
A wicked sinful life
Faith in God’s power and holiness.
5. Do you have an upright heart?
Psalms 32: 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
In the frame of mind for sevice.
Surrender to the master.
In the right position to worship
6. And unsearchable heart ?
Psalms 64: 6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
Have no feelings in your heart at the preaching hour.
The power of God has not caused you to repent.
The thing so far is rejection.
7. And uncircumcised heart.
Acts 7: 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Not in the right family.
You are off sides.
Means you are not saved.
