God made a promise to Abraham- People lump these 2 together

God here is speaking of 2 different things

A NATURAL INHERITANCE- Sand

A SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE- STARS

2 different things- Moses through Ishmael- SAND

Abraham through ISAAC- brought forth a PROMISE

TO YOU AND TO ME

Galatians 4

Abraham had two kids- Ishmael & Isaac

God came to Abraham and Sarah- you’re gonna have a kid- 90 and 80

“There ain’t enough Viagra in Jerusalem to make that happen”

Sarah had an idea- HAGAR- THEIR SLAVE- ISHMAEL

That wasn’t natural- Sarah taking God’s matters into her own hands

Ishmael was a beautiful Boy- The son of Abraham

“THAT”S WHAT THEY DID BACK THEN”----whatever

THAT”S WEIRD---WHAT IF I SAID THAT

10 years later- God shows up and says remember that son---WHAT!!!!

I made you a PROMISE

ROMANS 4: 19And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

To this 100 yr old man and 90 year old woman God gives ISAAC

THE PROMISE

How do we know it was the promise:

1. Totally from God—Quit working for your miracle

2. Absolutely Impossible—Quit thinking up your miracle

3. Used 2 least likely people-AGE- FAITH- EVEN THO THEY GOOFED

2 kids- 2 ways- 1 PROMISE

Galatians 4:21-Galatians 5:1 “IT IS FOR FREEDOM…”

Abraham had two sons----BY 2 DIFFERENT WOMEN

1. Hagar- We had never heard of Hagar before this

SHE WASN’T ABRAHAMS WIFE

SHE WASN’T PART OF THE PROMISE

SHE WAS A SLAVE- SHE DIDN”T HAVE A CHOICE

HE SAYS THIS IS HOW THE LAW WORKS

DOESN’T MAKE YOU THE BRIDE

DOESN’T” MAKE YOU PART OF THE PROMISE

DOESN”T SET YOU FREE- MAKES YOU A SLAVE—

YOU HAVE TO

THE BRIDE---THE PROMISE---SHE WAS FREE

SHE SLEPT WITH ABRAHAM BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO

So when I say----I don’t need the law---HE”S a heretic—false prophet- jim jones

VS 29—people of the flesh will hate my freedom

They’ll hate that I’m born after the Spirit

They’ll hate me-- My mama’s free- not a slave---

They’ll hate I got what

I got from a promise- not Working my flesh

VS 31- we are not children of a slave but of a free woman

Vs 1- says- IT IS FOR FREEDOM – CHRIST HAS MADE US FREE

Galatians 3:24-25—Need the law till were saved- Then we don’t need it
