When You’ve Been Way Off Track, What’s Coming Back Look Like? Series

WAY OFF TRACK: Something as central as Passover had been lost.

- 2 Chronicles 30:1, 5.

GETTING BACK: They needed to return to God by humble obedience.

- 2 Chronicles 30:6-9.

a. Return to God.

- We are returning to God, not church.

b. By humble obedience.

- This is what is expected of us.

THE RESPONSE: Not everyone wanted it but some places caught fire.

- 2 Chronicles 20:10-12.

a. Mixed response in Israel.

- Differences in some churches vs. others.

FIRST STEPS: Their “walk” looked like a toddler.

- 2 Chronicles 30:15-20.

- Also: vv. 2-4.

- This was filled with missteps and errors, but they were sincerely seeking and therefore God was free with pardon.

- They were doing the best they could with their limited knowledge.

A SURE SIGN: Their humble obedience led to overflowing joy.
