Summary: When the fire of the lord falls upon us, we will not remain the same.Everything that has hindered us from pure and sincere worship will be dealt with in Jesus Name.

Elijah Manifests the Power of God. 1 Kings 18:37-39

37Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

38Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

39And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.

After Elijah Prayed, the fire of the lord fell.

1. The first thing the fire did was to consume the sacrifice. Sacrifice attracts the fire of God. It is dangerous to ask for the fire when there is no sacrifice. The Lord answered Instantly, and the fire consumed the sacrifice. In the next chapter when the same Elijah is praying for rain on another mountain, the servant had to go check for a sign for seven times. Reason being on that mountain as he sorts God for rain there was no altar neither sacrifice.

We are called to offer ourselves as living sacrifices may the fire of God come down and consume the sacrifice.

2. The fire of the lord consumed wood.

In Ecclesiastes 11:3 the bible says, If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

Where the tree fall it remains there, the spirit of stagnation. There is a need for the fire to burn the wood, any spirit of stagnation that has delayed us in growth and fruitfulness let the fire consume it in Jesus Name. The man in John chapter 5 who had infirmity had remained at the pool for 38 years until Jesus came. He had not remained there for lack of effort, but the spirit of stagnation had bound him.

In Deut 1:6 the Lord told Moses to tell the people they have been on that mountain long enough. For 40 years they went around in the wilderness, not that they were idle, but they were stagnant.

Do you find yourself in the same dilemma even after much efforts and handwork you are like that tree that falls toward the north or the south and in the place it feels it remains? We need the fire of the lord to fall and consume the wood!

No more stagnation!

Let the fire of the lord fall and consume every wood in our lives in Jesus Name!

Hallelluyah! Come someone Let pray for the fire to consume every wood every stagnation in Jesus name.!
