A bottom broken Bucket

Every one of us have come across a time an experiences of broken bucket situation. A situation that seemed to be full and suddenly it’s broken and the fullness is gone.

A saying on a Hearse Van said this –

‘Today I, tomorrow might be you’

Who knows what will happen tomorrow, a time that we cannot predict what will happen tomorrow.

When situation seems empty and your everything of yours is getting dried like the bucket broken situation. When all your hopes come still. When all your trust worth people come to a stand.

I want to encourage with Mark: 5:36 saying

“Don’t be afraid”

The movement when you were baptized from that day on your eternal journey had begun. You are traveling the journey of eternity.

Illustration:

There was once a man driving along the road and he was involved in an accident with another car towing a horse float. A few months later he tried to claim damages for his injuries, but the insurance company lawyer questioned his claim. "How can you now claim to have all these injuries?" he was asked "According to the police report, at the time you said you were not hurt."

"Well It’s like this," said the man. "I was lying in the road in a lot of pain, and I heard someone say the horse had a broken leg. The next thing I know the police officer pulled out his gun and shot the horse. Then someone came and asked me, "Are you okay?"”

There are a lot of people floating around this world who say they are okay, but underneath the smiles, the laughter and the “I’m doing just fine” is a huge amount of hurt.

You only have to pick up the paper to read of people who are hurting. But it is not just outside this church that people are hurting. There are families and individuals that are desperately hurting who are sitting in this building today and trying to cover it up with a brave face. Some have old wounds that just won’t heal. Others have fresh wounds that are still raw.

We would have prayed for many things for many time and it wouldn’t have work in your life. Example you would have prayed for a marriage but unexpected the marriage would have stopped.

This section of Mark’s Gospel is filled with impossible cases. It has been called the Home Of The Hopeless.

There are four impossible,

Hopeless situations recounted in Mark 4:35-5:43.

1. There is the Troubled Sea,

2. The Tormented Sinner,

3. The Traumatized Sufferer,

4. The Tragedy of the Schoolgirl.

We see how the Lord overcame the depths, the demons, disease and death.

Each case is beyond help!

1. The disciples thought they were going to die in the storm, Mark 4:38, but Jesus was able to calm the storm with a simple command.

2. No one could tame the demoniac, but Jesus set him free from his bondage with a simple command.

As we move through the rest of the events in this chapter we will soon discover that Jesus is more than adequate for every situation. There are no incurables with Him. There are no hopeless situations with the Lord! Your situation is not hopeless! Your loved ones are not hopeless!

I. His Humble Request (Mark 5:22) (Avaratu Panivanan Ventukol)

“My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”

II. His Hope Renewed (Mark 5:35-36) (Avaratu Nambikkai Putuppikkappattatu

Some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”

III. His Joy Restored (Mark 5:41-42) (Avaratu Makilchi Mittetukkapattatu)

He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (Which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around.

Illustration:

A many who walked by a greve and spotted these lines sculptured there.

“Follow my step, and come”

Underneath that someone had scribbles like them

‘First let me discover what your path was and then let me think over”.

When you are in a broken situation, when everything seems to flee from you just try Jesus.
