When Jesus Is In The House
Contributed by Robert Tallent on Sep 8, 2013 (message contributor)
Summary: When Jesus is in the house, a crowd will gather, miracles will take place and people will testify to all He's done
When Jesus is in the house
Mark 2:1-12
I. The Place will be Packed vs2
John12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all
men unto me
If the house isn't packed it's not because God isn't doing what he
should, but rather it's because we aren't.
We aren't lifting Him up
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Ex 15:11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is
like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing
wonders
Ps 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither
are there any works like unto thy works.
II. The Power will be Prevalent vs5 & 11
Things happen when Jesus is around
Show me one single instance where the power of God feel on
someone unnoticed
Judges 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted
against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily
upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms
became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands
loosed from off his hands. 15 And he found a new
jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it,
and slew a thousand men therewith
When God strengthened Samson once more time and he brought
down the house on three thousand people, they noticed
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts
unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly
Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
III. The Profession will be Proclaimed vs 12
they were all amazed
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of
bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit
itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of
God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer
with him, that we may be also glorified together.
