When God Send Us To Strange Places

Summary: THIS SERMON IS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE CHRISTIANS TO KEEP FIGHTING FOR CHRIST.
THIS TOPIC TODAY CHALLENGES OUR PSALMS 23 THEOLOGY THAT GOD WILL LEAD US BESIDE THE STILL WATERS. THIS SERMON SUGGESTS THAT SOMETIMES GOD WILL LEAD US INTO PLACES THAT HE MAY GET THE GLORY. SOMETIMES GOD ALLOWS US TO OUR PLACE OF TESTING. IN OUR TEXT JESUS IS LED BY THE SPIRIT INTO THE WILDERNESS, ALSO KNOWN AS THE DESERT.
1. PLACE OF DESERT
This place was called the wilderness, however it is also known as a desert. This place was a place that had plants but no water to help it grow. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will send us to places with potential but no growth.(Ezekiel 37)
2. PURPOSE OF THE DEMONS
The Bible teaches us that Jesus was there fasting for forty days and he was tempted by satan.Satan has only one purpose to steal, kill, and to destroy.
A. DEPLETE OUR FAITH
B. DESTROY OUR FELLOWSHIP
3. PEOPLE OF DELIVERANCE
The Bible says that as Jesus was being tempted, the angels ministered unto him. This suggests that many times when we as Christians are sent to our desert experiences that God has somebody to encourage us when we feel like giving up.
