When A Brother Weeps.
Did you know that we serve a compassionate and caring Lord? When we were still sinners, He saw a people that were in a state of denial, and rejection of truth. But out of the goodness of His heart, He sent a Savior to rescue the down hearted, lost, confused, and those in slavery.
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. (Psa 86:15)
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. (Isa 49:15)
Compassion; A suffering with another; painful sympathy; a sensation of sorrow excited by the distress or misfortunes of another; pity; commiseration. Compassion is a mixed passion, compounded of love and sorrow; at least some portion of love generally attends the pain or regret, or is excited by it. Extreme distress of an enemy even changes enmity into at least temporary affection.
Was your sin, any greater than any others? Were your transgressions as great, or even greater than another? Did not Jesus come to save the entire world? If so, then why do you not also have compassion on your fellow man, and even more, with your fellow brothers, and sisters in Christ. Can a man choose between his children, cloth one, and not the other, feed one, and not the other, shelter one, and not the other? When you were down trodden, did not Jesus have compassion upon you, and feed, cloth, and shelter you?
Lets read; 1John 3:17. “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”
Your brother, in the natural, and spiritual sense. We have brothers and sisters in family, aunts, uncles, mothers, dads, and even cousins. I have seen brothers and sisters, turned away by family, they not caring nor having compassion upon them, no cloths, no food, and no shelter being offered.
Can these people, according to scripture, have the Love of God within them? No. For there is a part of their heart missing, saying that they serve the Lord, but not serving their fellow man. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
(Luk 11:11-13)
Do I condemn those, that have lost their compassion and love? No, for I am just a messenger of the truth, God, will judge. Will a man loose his place in Heaven because he has turned away a brother? Again, God, will judge. Your works upon this earth, will be tested, as if by fire. If your works stand, you shall receive your reward. If your works burn, then you shall be saved, but you shall not receive any reward from God.
Do you not believe in the Scriptures, do you not believe in Jesus? Then why do you act; as the world acts. Are you not rebuked sharply because of your actions?
Jesus stated that, “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? ”
Was not this a rebuke from Christ, for those that said they believed but did not act as Christ acted?
Are the commandments of Christ, too grievous for you to bare?
Is this yoke of love, and compassion, too heavy for you to carry?
If so, then call upon the Lord, for aid, and strength.
He has never forsaken you, and you must not forsake your Brothers. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:10)
“As we have therefore opportunity.”
When opportunity’s come unto you, you must act with the heart, and not with the mind. Do you accuse your fellow man of sin, before he sins? Do you judge men, without facts?
Do you look upon a man or woman and say, they will sin in my house, I will not let them enter?
Then you also have become a transgressor of the Commandments of Christ.
“do good unto all men.”
Who gave you the authority to be a judge over any man.
There should be no lack of compassion for those that are lost, for we must remember that we were all once sinners. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Rom 14:10.)
