What’s In Your House?

Someone has wisely said, “The problem is not the White House, nor the School House, but Our House!

The widow had nothing in her house but a pot of oil. It was enough!

Too many modern day houses have everything in them except “the oil” which is symbolic of the presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

The oil was of little value until she begin to pour. As she poured, empty vessels were filled, her children were saved from certain bondage, and all her needs were miraculously supplied!

Do we have the Holy Spirit in our house? Is there any room for Him? Do we ignore the Holy Spirit? Do we keep the Holy Spirit in a pot on a shelf in a dark closet in our house! The Holy Spirit must be more than a resident. He must be President! We must have more in our house than just a picture of Jesus. We must have Jesus!

Too many houses have TV’S, DVD’S, Cell Phones, and Lazy Boys- but we do not have the Holy Spirit to help us raise our girls and boys!

Paul said to the man who felt like all hope was gone, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”(Acts 16:25-34)

Joshua said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” (Josh. 24:15)

As long as Obed had the Ark of God (God’s presence) in his house, he and his entire household was greatly blessed! (1 Chronicles 13:14-15)

The most valuable asset the wealthy, powerful, and famous Naaman had in his house was the humble Spirit Filled servant girl!

The Children of Israel in Egypt were

Protected from death because they had gotten the wrong thing out of their house (The Levin/Sin) and the right thing in their house( The Lamb/Jesus) And the best thing over their house-The Atoning Blood!

Peter’s mother-in-law, The paralytic, the man with the withered hand, Jarius’s daughter , and many others were saved, healed, and delivered because Jesus was in the house!

What is in your house?

When the Devil saw an empty house

He as well as many of his demons, moved into the house and took it over! The result was devastating!

What’s in our house is extremely important! God said that the house that is defiled shall be destroyed.( 1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
