Whatever, wherever, however…
Job 1:16”While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you."
Boy! This is heavy stuff to talk about, I pray God pour down His anointing so that this fire goes into the lives of people and bless them! Job is introduced as the ‘chocolate boy’ of God in the opening verses: “blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil.” Did you know the attacks are severe once you become His favorite; doesn’t matter, though; when the BIG BOSS is with you and for you! Hurray!
Now, watch this, the devil is a liar and deceiver, he wants to now sabotage this relationship that you have with God, so he now brings agents to sow lies about God and His feelings for you. He would bring events to your memory to say, ‘look this happened because God does not love you anymore, look how angry He is with you’ and so on and so forth. Just look at the words that is sandwiched in verse 16 which only spiritual eyes can spot‘The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep’. What? Fire of God? When talking about the first attack, the Sabeans were mentioned, but suddenly the name of God pops up for the next attack on the sheep and servants, most valuable for any man. The sheep that were offered as burnt offerings to the Lord and the servants who served Job were not only burnt but consumed and the name of the Lord is unnecessarily dragged, in order to sever the love relationship between Job and God; however, Job was smart, at the end of all the loss, he fell to the ground and worshiped the Lord.
We were having lot of challenges in the rented building where we were conducting our SHILOH REVIVAL CHURCH services: it was very much interior, no water, opposition and lot more, we prayed for more than three years; yet, we were in the dark about the next level of our church. I recently lifted my hands to God and said, ‘whatever, wherever, however, we would serve you Lord – BAM- God showed us a place in the main road and now we are moving. The interim period was dark; yet, we endured and now we moved to our new building couple of days back.
My point is this today to you’ll, never doubt God’s love, His love is pristine, pure, crystal clear and steadfast. Never allow anyone or any voice to whisper negative things to you while you are in the furnace of affliction, be steadfast in the midst of trials – God would bail you out.
