Summary: The biggest decision a person will ever make in their life is whether or not they will accept Jesus as their Saviour

WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS

Mark 15:8-13

Intro: In this chapter we find Jesus has been delivered to Pilate. It is the Feast of the Passover and the custom of the Jews was to release a prisoner of whomsoever they desired. Here Pilate is faced with a decision they will change the course of all Biblical history. Would he release Barabbas or Jesus? The people demanded the release of Barabbas and the death of Jesus. Pilate made his decision on what he would do with Jesus and he had him crucified. My question to you and the title of my message is “WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS?”

I. WILL YOU ACCEPT HIM

A. (Isaiah 55:6) Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call on him while he is near

B. ( 2 Corinthians 6:2) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

II. WILL YOU REJECT HIM

A. (Proverbs 1:24) Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

B. (Proverbs 1:25) But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

C. (Proverbs 1:26) I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

III. WILL YOU DENY HIM

A. (Matthew 10:33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

B. (2 Timothy 2:12) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

C. Speaking of vain talker and deceivers in v 10, specially of the circumcision; JEWS (Titus 1:16) They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

IV. TURN YOUR BACK ON HIM

A. Judas turned his back on him and died a lost man

B. Peter as well as the other disciples turned their back on Jesus after saying these words (Matt 26:35) Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples. However, I believe Peter fully intended to die with Jesus but was ignorant of what would be going on.
