What Will It Take

Summary: A sermon about doubt
Heb 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.
1. You Need to make up your mind today, Who God is
Josh 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose
you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your
fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the
gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me
and my house, we will serve the LORD.
“THE LORD”
Rom 14:11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee
shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Phil 2: 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him
a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and things
in earth, and [things] under the earth; 11 And [that] every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory
of God the Father.
2, You Need to realize today, What God will do
2Pet 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine
nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world
through lust.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to
them that love God, to them who are the called according
to [his] purpose.
3. You Need to decide today, When to Follow God or
you will follow the devil
A gentleman was in front of a preacher coming out of the church one day.
The preacher grabbed him by the hand, pulled him aside and said to him,
"You need to join the Army of the Lord!" The man replied, "I’m already in
the Army of the Lord, Pastor." The Pastor questioned, "How come I don’t
see you except at Christmas and Easter?" He whispered back, "I’m in the
secret service. "
2Cor 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in
the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is]
the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)
1Kgs 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How
long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God,
follow him: but if Baal, [then] follow him. And the people
answered him not a word.
Rodney Buchanan: The reason the Christian faith has grown from one little
band of disciples to the place where it has conquered kingdoms and
the hearts of people of every age is that it is based on truth.
