Topic: *WHAT SAYETH YOUR HEART?* (MONEY FROM THE PEOPLE OR SALVATION FOR THE PEOPLE)

Acts 8:36-40 King James Version (KJV)

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Beloved, we need to serve the Kingdom looking up to only God Almighty to reward us and not men.

Beloved, the joy of preaching the Gospel, seeing people repent, seeing people accept Jesus as their Lord and Personal Saviour to be saved and not perish again and seeing the signs wonders and miracles that are worked in the lives of the people we minister to for their liberation from bondage and to progress in life should be our immediate reward that we value in our work for God. For these are priceless.

Beloved, when the treasures of the world is our focus whiles we work for God and we are expecting it from men, especially the people we minister to; with time, we would be blinded by our desires and become selective in our delivery. Where we go to minister, who we minister to, who invites us where, etc etc etc would be affected by our carnal desires.

This also causes us to force to see imaginable things and give out as prophecies, sometimes messages or knowledge about people from others are used as prophecies just to wow the person or people to gain earthly treasures.

Beloved, you may choose to do the work of God and be ready to move now and start but my question to you is:

*"WHAT SAYETH YOUR HEART?"* what is your motive???

Beloved, it is not wrong to feed people spiritually for them to feed you physically but when the desire or love for the work is all about receiving physical food, the devil uses that channel to blind you and with time you will shift from the main Kingdom Agenda to your own agenda. Most of the time without even realising the shift.

You will think you are still working for God to push the Kingdom Agenda when in actual sense the devil is using or manipulating you to mess up and fruatrate the Kingdom Agenda.

Beloved, Philip met with a man, a eunuch of "great authority" someone in charge of all the treasure of the Ethiopian Queen, Candace.

Beloved considering how these great people travelled back in the days, this eunuch could have been carrying all sorts of treasures which were to be given as gifts on his journey.

Probably he was the richest man Philip ever met or ministered to. Philip's desire was for the man to receive Jesus, not for him to receive treasures or any physical reward from the eunuch and God knew Philip's heart so when he finished delivering his service to the man as a worker in the vineyard of God, the Spirit of God just took him away to Azotus. The man was not even given the time to say, thank you and Philip was not bothered. All thanks belongs to God and not man, and those of us working for Him should bear this in mind always.

For many will come to you, receive the spiritual things they desire and never come back to say thank you, or even call to say "good morning". This attitude of man should not determine what we do or how we do what we do. Let's leave all that to God and focus on Jesus to deliver according to the leading of Precious Holy Spirit.

Philip preached in Azotus, and through all the towns till Caesarea. Beloved we see here, a man who's heart is right and is dedicated to working for God, rich or poor or whatever the Gospel must be heard and souls must be saved.

Beloved, don't think, nobody was taking care of him. Definitely, Jerusalem would monitor him and support him, aside those the Lord would ordain to finance his ministry to be able to move on and deliver to push the Kingdom Agenda. He had them all, but his focus was spreading the Gospel for people to be saved not getting treasures from the people.
