Summary: How God’s ability becomes your ability.

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work."

1. The ABILITY of God. "God is able"

Daniel 3:17 - "Our God whom we serve IS ABLE to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliever us out of thine hands o king.

Romans 4:20-21 - Abraham didn’t doubt God; he knew He was able.

Ephesians 3:20 - God "...ABLE to do exceeding abundantly..."

Ph 3:21 - "ABLE to subdue all things."

2 Tim. 1:12 - "He is ABLE to keep that which I have committed unto Him."

Hebrews 7:23 - "ABLE to save to the uttermost..."

Jude 24 - "ABLE to keep from falling..."

2. The NOBILITY of God. "To make all grace abound toward you."

Grace = Disposition of God to favor men - totally unmeritted. Amazing grace!

Abound = To exceed, excell, abundantly more than enough! Getting to experience God’s unmeritted favor is one thing, but for it to abound!

Toward you = Toward those who are committed to Him in belief.

3. The STABILITY of God’s children. "That ye always having all sufficiency in all things."

God provides everything for out contentment.

The context for our text verse is the grace of giving. The church at Corinth had committed to giving. God promised to respond to their committment with provision.

4. The UTILITY of God’s ABILITY. "May abound to every good work."

God gives to people who do His work. His grace abounds toward us so that we may abound in good works.

When God saves you, you are expected to serve.

Now - what on earth are you doing for heaven’s sake?
