Summary: Let us commit to worshiping God in spirit and truth, as He alone is worthy.

Let us explore a vital teaching from Jesus Christ about worship. In Matthew 4:10, Jesus responds to Satan's temptation by declaring, "Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only." This statement highlights the importance of exclusive worship.

Jesus emphasizes that our worship must be directed solely towards God, the Creator, and Sustainer of the universe. He rejects any form of idolatry or worship of false gods, be they material possessions, other people, or ideas. We are called to worship God with our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength.

In Luke 4:8, Jesus quotes :Deuteronomy 6:13, reminding us to fear and serve God alone, rejecting any rival claimants to our devotion. This teaching is reinforced throughout Scripture, including the first of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:3.

we gather to reverence the one Living God, creator of the universe and author of our faith. In Deuteronomy 6:4, Moses reminds us, "Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one." This declaration is the foundation of our worship.

The Bible teaches us that our God is a jealous God, passionate about our devotion and loyalty. In Exodus 34:14, He commands us to worship only Him and reject idolatry in all forms. This call to exclusive worship is reiterated by Jesus in Matthew 4:10 and reinforced by the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:31?-?"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1.Biblical proof that Jesus is the one Living God:

Let us explore the magnificent truth that Jesus, the Son of God, is indeed the one Living God. In John 1:1–3, we read, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." This declaration establishes Jesus' divinity and oneness with God.

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus actions and teachings reinforce His deity. He forgives sins, calms storms, and raises the dead, demonstrating His power and authority. In John 10:30, Jesus says, "I and the Father are one," and in John 8:58, He proclaims, "Before Abraham was born, I am!" all these is a reference to His eternal existence.

The book of Hebrews describes Jesus as the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being (Hebrews 1:3). And in Colossians 2:9, we learn that in Christ dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

In Isaiah 44:6, God says, "I am the First and the Last; besides me, there is no god." And in Revelation 1:8, Jesus declares, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

These scriptures affirm Jesus' divinity and oneness with God. He is the beginning and the end, the creator and sustainer of all things. As we worship Jesus ,let us remember that we are worshiping the one Living God who has revealed Himself to us in flesh.

These scriptures, among many others, testify to Jesus identity as the one Living God. As we worship Him ,let us acknowledge His majesty and oneness with the Father. May our hearts be filled with awe and reverence for the glory of Jesus, the one Living God who has saved us and reigns supreme.

2. Importance of worshiping only the one true God:

Throughout the Bible, we are warned about the dangers of idolatry and worshiping false gods.

In Exodus 20:3, God clearly commands us, "You shall have no other gods before Me." This first commandment reminds us that our worship must be exclusive and directed only towards the Creator.

In Deuteronomy 32:16–17, Moses warns us against abandoning the Lord and worshiping foreign gods, for they are nothing but demons. The prophet Isaiah also cautions us in Isaiah 44:9–11, "All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame."

In the New Testament, Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:14, "Flee from idolatry," and in Colossians 2:18–19, he warns us against worshiping angels or any other created being, for Christ is the head of every ruler and authority.

Let us not be fooled by the lies of the world. Let us heed these warnings and remember that our worship must be pure and directed only towards the one true God?-?the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. May we be faithful in our worship and avoid the snare of idolatry. The Bible teaches us that those who persist in worshiping false gods will face eternal separation from God in hell. This is a sobering reminder of the importance of worshiping only the one true God?-?the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Let us heed these warnings and remember that our worship must be pure and directed only towards the one true God. May we be faithful in our worship and avoid the snare of idolatry.
