What Is Truth?

Summary: WHAT IS TRUTH? In this short outline I point out that there is only one way to heaven and to our Father God.
WHAT IS TRUTH?
I. This is what Pilate had to say.
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
A. This is what Jesus says.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1. Jesus did not say He was a truth, He said He is the TRUTH.
2. Knowing Jesus sets us free.
3. How? If we obey His Word this is what Jesus said in John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
a. The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it. LIFE REALLY BEGINS when we receive Christ as our personal savior.
b. Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing happened. Winston Churchill.
II. The Holy Spirit brings us to TRUTH.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:….
III. Not only He is the truth He is the only WAY and the only LIFE.
A. While many would like to say that there are many ways there is only One WAY to our Heavenly Father and heaven and it is Jesus.
B. This old Christian chorus has the message for the world from Jesus. I am the Way, The Truth and the Life, That’s what Jesus said.
John 6:37 (KJV) All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
